i'm pretty well in love with the idea of planting a victory garden. and we all know i'm in favor of turning front lawns into veggie gardens.

I love it!
Although, I don't think lawns are a waste of space. I think it is a nice idea but not for everyone. Didn't you ever run throught the sprinklers when you were little? Or played a nice game of soccer in your lawn and used trees and rocks for marking the goal posts? What about tag, kick the can, or other fun night games? Lawns are a great playground. Or the lawn is a perfect place for summer time star gazing.
