today i walked around the mbh instead of through it.
this is the one luxury i have allowed myself in the recently more humane temperatures we have enjoyed.
i'm conscientiously not getting too comfortable.
after all, you know what they say: "don't plant tomatoes until there is no snow on the oquirrhs."
as i walked along, i heard the pine cones opening in the trees.
i didn't like it.
i felt like they were talking about something i didn't understand.

hey cool, I'd never heard that little of farmers' almanacism about the Oquirrhs; wonder if it would apply to the Sanpitch range too?
what's really disquieting is when the crossbills get into the firs and pines and start dismantling the cones.
i wish i could answer your question. i'm not really a farmer. i just hung out with some for a while.
